Will Cohen

Will is a sound designer, composer, field recordist and multi-instrumentalist driven by a lifelong obsession with synthesis, granular and spectral processing. His work is story-first, building worlds through detail, emotion and bold sonic choices, from intimate narrative moments to expansive cinematic soundscapes. With more than 25 years in audio post-production, his design and music have been recognised by major industry award bodies for brands including Channel 4, Apple, Audi, Vue Cinemas and Absolut. His longform experience spans early work on The Thick of It through to leading sound on projects including the animated feature Kensuke’s Kingdom, Netflix’s Rising Phoenix and Harry Potter: Full-Cast Editions. An early adopter of immersive formats, he has worked in Dolby Atmos since its inception across film, television and longform audio, and continues to push the envelope with technology in service of the narrative.
